SAB CHANNEL BANK SWITCHING

The following is the switching chart for accessing the extra memory banks on the Syntor. If you have modified your SAB as described here, it will default to Bank 1, in case you don’t plug the BCD switch in.

BANK A8 A9 A10 A11

2 1
3   1
4 1 1
5     1
6 1 1 1

8 1   1
9   1   1
10 1 1   1

16 1 1 1 1

After you have carefully checked your wiring and soldering for errors or fugitive solder bridges, we recommend that you generate a test frequency file to test the wiring and switch connections.

Create a file with 16 banks, and put a single frequency in each bank
                    Bank 01 = 153.010
                    Bank 02 = 153.020
                    Bank 03 = 153.030, etc

Program the test file into an eprom, put it in the SAB and use a frequency counter or scanner to verify the bank switching is correct.  Depending on the switch you have chosen, the banks may be in reverse order.
