| 2. | Attach the mini clip lead from the programming adapter to the hole in the corner near pin 24 of the eeprom (see picture). . | ![]() |
| 3. | Insert the MAB into the Programming Adapter, with pin 1 oriented towards Pin 1 of 16 pin socket. | |
| 4. | Insert the Programming Adapter with the MAB installed into your eeprom programmer, the same as you would insert a 2804 eeprom. (the notched end is Pin 1) | |
| 5. | Set your eeprom programmer
up for a 2804 eeprom. |
|
| 6. | Once the MAB is installed in the programming adapter and connected to your eeprom programmer it is recommended that you "read" the MAB and confirm that the data read matches the test data. If the data does not match then you more than likely have a have a problem with your programmer. | |
| 7. | Program the MAB just like you would normally program a 28XX series eeprom. You may have verification errors since the 28XX series eeproms are 8 wide and the signetics proms are only 4 wide. | |
| 8. | Once you are satisfied with the data in the MAB, unhook the programming jumper and remove it from the Programming Adapter.. | |
| 9. | Install the jumper shown in the picture in step #1 before installing the MAB in the radio. (A small piece of wire wrap wire does well.) |
