PROM to EPROM ADAPTER BOARDS

Many of the radios that we program utilize Bi-Polar PROM (Programmable Read Only Memory) devices that have not been manufactured in several years. These PROMs were also used in many different devices (radios, taxi meters, video games, etc.) manufactured during the 1980’s. In our continued support of the older two way radios, we have developed several reprogrammable adapter boards that replace the obsolete Signetics N82S129 and N82S131 series PROMs. We also have more designs in the works for other PROMs.

Some of the advantages of our adapter boards are:

• A standard eprom or eeprom is used in place of the obsolete Prom.
• The adapter board can be reprogrammed thousands of times, where as a PROM can
  only be programmed once.
• Built with high quality components, (dual wipe IC sockets, gold plated pins) for many years of trouble free service.
• Stores programming information for up to 32 frequencies or PL tones with no
  modifications.
